MONTHLY NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2022

Readers, welcome back! This month's issue will highlight our Hats off program, Financial Peace University, Joshua Sabbath School Class movie night, and Pastor Wayne and Mercy Jamel's wedding.

"Hats Off"

The Education Department wishes to thank everyone who came out to support the "Hats Off" program. This program was geared to congratulate our students and adults on their accomplishments throughout the previous school year. Many of our children have graduated, while others have advanced to the next grade level. The education department and the church thought it fit to recognize and encourage their accomplishments, as well as to remind them that the church cares.

"Financial Peace University"

Congratulations! to all of the Financial Peace University graduates! Nine weeks were dedicated to educating students how to manage their finances better at the Financial Peace University. The Dave Ramsey program included a wide range of subjects, including debt, insurance, increasing wealth, budgeting, retirement goals and plans, wise investments, and living a life of generosity. Participants praised the program's value and said that their perspectives on money and their ability to manage their resources have altered as a result of their newfound understanding.

"God's Not Dead " Movie Night

Interesting, thought-provoking, and insightful. The Joshua Sabbath School Class's movie night was  enjoyed by those in attendance. Through a debate structure, the film "God's Not Dead" showed both an antagonist and protagonist viewpoint on the matter. After many heated disputes and theories were examined, it was determined that God is really living, as both the Bible and science confirm. The movie night came to a close with a discussion and prayer.

"Wedding of Pastor Wayne Jamel"

The Church wishes to formally congratulate Pastor Jamel on his marriage to Mercy Jamel. This joyous celebration was held on August 7th, 2022, at the Yonkers Seventh Day Adventist Church, with many people attendance. The couple was surrounded by relatives, friends, and well-wishers who participated in their joy.

Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
9. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor 10.For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
